They are wonderful and badass and awesome...
...until you get to your destination and everyone watches you putting them back on. Then? You don't look as badass.

but make sure you put them on well. my parents lost one off their then-new '98 z/28. it lifted off @ 60mph & landed in a million little pieces. while it was raining.

the good news is the 300zx is one of the best(manliest) looking drop tops ever.

Gotta ask, TT or NA? Love your car either way, but I wouldn't want to work on the "bundle of snakes".

Thanks! Me too. I particularly like the look of the actual drop top one. One showed up to our last meet. Stupid Kinja won't let me put a picture...

HAHAHA thats hilarious but awful. The Z has a safety feature to prevent this...sort of. If the handle on the T top is down, you'll smack your head against it before you can even move.

If you look at the bumper directly under the fog lights, there would be 3 slots to send air to the side mount intercoolers on a TT:
Or just big holes if he went JDM Tyte Yo:

I get the feeling they're like pop-up headlights. You don't realise quite how kickass they are until you've got some.
Gorgeous car though. Love the wheels, and the two-tone blacked out windows and white scheme :)

Ohh damn, I obviously didn't know there were any visual differences. Thanks for the info.

THanks! The two tone tint is just because of CA's strange tint laws.

Also every car with t-tops drips a little bit in the rain. Every one. If you say yours doesn't, you are lying.

I swear to Travis! I just drove it in really heavy rain and not a single drop came through. I seem to have bought the only Z32 in the world that doesn't leak....

Oh right, didn't notice that the tints were different. I just meant the white of the car versus the blackness of the windows :)
